MAZAMORRA


 





 

The mazamorra is a tradicional dessert in Colombia mainly Antioquia but can also found in the carribean region in the antiplano cundiboyacense prerared similarly but is added at the moment of eating different food to accompany.The mazamorra is a mixture of flavors.



Ingredients

  • 1 Pound of Corn
  • 2 Liter of water
  • Grated Panela
  • Milk


Preparation

Cook the corn in 2 liter of water by 1 1/2 hours,when the corn is soft .Let it rest. Serve with milk and grated panela.


Anecdote
In my family my grandmom prepares this recipe when all the family gathers in her house, but my grandmom adds baking soda for the consistency.   My cousin was helping my grandmom and took the sugar instead of  baking soda.The Mazamorra was very sweet but delicious.
